This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) outlines the kind of information that Response may collect while you visit this website (the “Site”) and how Response may use such information. In this Privacy Policy, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Response Biomedical Corp. and all its affiliates (collectively, “Response”).

Employment Applications

We collect Personal Information from visitors to this Site who register and apply for employment with Response through this Site. Applicants who apply for employment through our Site are required to provide certain Personal Information, including their name, employment eligibility status, level of education and salary expectations. Applicants are also required to reveal how they learned of the employment opportunity and to submit an electronic resume. Applicants may also provide their city and country of residence, submit an electronic cover letter and provide additional comments to Response.

Response collects, uses and discloses such Personal Information to evaluate, process and respond to employment applications or as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy or required or permitted by law.


Response takes reasonable measures to reduce the risk of accidental destruction or loss of, or unauthorized disclosure or access to, the information we collect.


This Site is not generally intended for use by children under the age of 13, and Response does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children in this age group. If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information, we will expunge any such Personal Information from our records.

Resolution of Disputes

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, including any question regarding its interpretation, validity, breach or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the rules of the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre. The appointing authority shall be the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre. The case shall be administered by the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre in accordance with its rules. The place of arbitration shall be Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The language of the arbitration shall be English. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any party will have the right to apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for a preliminary or interim injunction or other equitable relief to preserve the status quo or prevent irreparable harm pending resolution of the matter by arbitration.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply in British Columbia, without regard to conflicts of law rules that would apply a different body of law. By using this Site you are deemed to accept being governed by these laws as well. Subject to the paragraph immediately above (“Resolution of Disputes”), you agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be filed only in a provincial or federal court located in British Columbia, and you hereby irrevocably and unconditionally consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts over any suit, action or proceeding arising out of this Privacy Policy.

Updates to Privacy Policy

Response may, in its sole discretion, update this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time, by posting the amended Privacy Policy on this Site. The amended Privacy Policy is effective upon posting and your access to or use of this Site following an update is deemed a consent to the revised Privacy Policy. We urge each visitor to refer back to this page regularly and especially prior to providing any Personal Information to Response. This Privacy Policy was last updated on January 31, 2013.


If any provision of this Privacy Policy shall be deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Privacy Policy and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
